These photos were taken the day before Halloween as we headed off to a party at Tom's work. Good thing too. Julie got sick on Halloween and couldn't go out Trick-or-Treating! The other kids saved the day by taking a bucket around for Julie and making sure she has lots of treats to enjoy when she gets over this rotten trick!

The Pumpkin Patch

Our neighborhood Mom & Tots group went to a local pumpkin patch today for a hay ride and a chance for the kids to pick a pumpkin. Hailey hunted all over for the perfect pumpkin. She ended up getting one of the muddiest pumpkins in the field.

We're lucky to have such great neighbors to have fun together!

Pumpkins

Fall is my favorite season. I wish October lasted longer! The weather is perfect. The colors are stunning. The traditions are my favorite, like getting our pumpkins at Day Farms and posing by the scarecrows.

Zuri, the Baby Elephant

Zuri, the baby elephant was the highlight of our trip to Hogle Zoo. Zuri was born in August and weighed in at 251 pounds. It was so fun watching her explore with mom.

We were amazed at all of the baby animals: a giraffe, three tiger cubs, a snow leopard and many other smaller animals. Julie kept track of them all. We had a lot of fun watching the tiger cubs too. I really wished I had brought my better camera!
