Cliff Palace

Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling at Mesa Verde. It's breathtaking from the overlook. To get an up close look, you must descend 100-feet on uneven stone steps. You don't want to have a fear of heights on this hike. Inside Cliff Palace.

The hike back up to the top is much more confined and involves climbing up 3 ten foot wooden ladders just before the reaching the top of the cliff. Of course at this point, you have a section of rock behind you, so you really can't see how far down the drop is.
