Long House was our favorite cliff dwelling. Part of that might have been the wonderful park ranger that did a great job explaining what life was really like back in 1200 A.D. on the mesa.
This sight involves a 130 foot descent, mostly on a winding trail. But to enjoy the full view from Long House, you climb two 15-foot ladders to the top of the dwelling. Sitting just under the roof of the cliff you learn more about the people who lived here.
