Day-cations

In case you haven't noticed, Tom has the entire week off. Instead of taking a trip somewhere, we have enjoyed local "day-cations." Today was our down day, hence no photos. Megan had the chance to babysit, so we decided to spend the day relaxing at home watching movies, jumping on the new trampoline (I'll post photos of that another time), and just doing whatever. The evening was nice enough that we did make a trip to Lagoon (our third this week). Tom loves amusement parks, so this is our second year with season passes. It's been great to go for a couple of hours in the evenings when the crowds are thinner and the temperature is perfect. The big news for today: Josh finally had the courage to go on the "Bat" and the "White Roller Coaster." If you've haven't been to Lagoon, the "Bat" is a family friendly slower-pace roller coaster mimicking a bat's flight (one of Julie's favorites). The "White Roller Coaster" is an ancient roller coaster that makes your head and teeth rattle! After an intense trip to Lagoon when Josh was 5, he's been EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS! But today was the day he decided he could do it. Afterwards, he said it was fun, but that was enough "big" rides for the day. Hopefully we'll be able to get him on them again next week!
